Punjab Industries Minister Sanjeev Arora on Thursday held a series of meetings with leading industrialists in Mumbai to discuss potential investment opportunities in the state and to invite them to participate in the Progressive Punjab Investors' Summit scheduled to be held from March 13-15 at Plaksha University, Mohali.

The Minister met N Chandrasekaran, chairperson of Tata Sons; Dilip Shanghvi, chairman of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries; Praveer Sinha, MD & CEO of Tata Power; and Anshuman Ruia of the Essar Group.

The meetings focused on strengthening industrial collaboration and exploring investment opportunities across sectors, including renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, advanced manufacturing, digital infrastructure and green logistics.

An official press release by the state government said during discussions with the Tata Sons chairperson, the Minister highlighted Punjab's strong industrial ecosystem and the state government's proactive policies aimed at facilitating investment and industrial growth. Both sides discussed opportunities to further strengthen the advanced manufacturing and steel ecosystem, building upon the presence of Tata Steel in Ludhiana.

Potential collaborations in renewable energy, electric mobility, and Global Capability Centres (GCCs) were also explored.
