They appealed to people not to vote in favour of Sukhbir Singh Badal, whom they accused of being responsible for sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib.  The activists, holding the black flags, were led by parallel acting Akal Takht Jathedar and former MP Dhian Singh Mand.
