'Harassment' by senior, Bathinda civic body official dies by 'suicide'

Bathinda, June 19

A sanitary supervisor working with the Bathinda Municipal Corporation today allegedly died by suicide after swallowing a poisonous substance at the MC office on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Rajinder Negi.

Before consuming poisonous substance, Negi made a video and posted it on the official group of his office. In the video, he accused an officer of his branch of 'harassing' him. After this, he swallowed the poisonous substance. After this, corporation workers reached the office and got him admitted to a private hospital, where he died. Later, his body was sent for the post-mortem. The police have started investigating into the matter.
