Bhagwant Mann: AAP to name CM face in advance

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will declare the name of party’s CM candidate well in advance for the state Assembly poll.

President of party’s Punjab unit and Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann today said a decision in that regard would be taken considering the opinion of all party volunteers. Mann, who was on way to pay obeisance at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib on Baisakhi, was interacting with mediapersons at party leader Narinder Singh Shergill’s farmhouse.

Claiming that AAP would field its chief ministerial candidate from Punjab, he said names of other candidates would also be declared only after considering the opinion of volunteers and those who worked hard for the party would get preference. —TNS
