Mohali, July 21
Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was brought by the Punjab Police to the Cyber Crime Cell in Phase IV, Mohali, today for taking his voice samples.
Bishnoi, who is the main conspirator behind the murder of popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, remained in the cyber cell for more than an hour. Punjab Police commandos were deployed at the Phase V market opposite the cell.
Police sources said the voice sample of the gangster had been taken so that it could be matched with the recording of phone calls made by him to people in the past, including gangster Goldy Brar in Canada. The police also keep samples of the voices of gangsters so that even if they change their disguise, they can be identified with their voice.
