Mohali, April 7

The Mohali unit of the BJP Mahila Morcha today protested against the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab and the Congress dispensation's inability to provide safety to women and MLAs.

Led by Tejinder Kaur, Mahila Morcha activists, holding bangles in their hands, marched towards Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu's residence but were stopped by the police.

The women later threw bangles at the police personnel to mark their protest.

Meanwhile, members of various farmers' unions countered the protesting Mahila Morcha workers near the motor market and raised slogans against the BJP-led Central Government.
