BJP: ‘Presence’ of Channi’s son at meet unethical

Chandigarh, October 2

The BJP today flayed Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi for allowing his son to sit in an official meeting with the DGP.

In a statement, state party president Ashwani Sharma said it was unprecedented and unethical the way Channi’s son was seen attending a high-level meeting with the DGP.

He said the Chief Minister was well aware of “governance rules” as he was a former minister and a three-time legislator. “The credibility, dignity while respecting the rules of constitution should always be maintained. It is unfortunate that the senior Bureaucrats well aware of rules and norms allowed this error to happen,” said Sharma.
