The hoarding, carrying the tagline ‘Aao mil ke badliye Punjab’ (Come, let us together change Punjab), says it all — full-length photographs for the big names, and mug shots for the rest.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP national president Nitin Nabin dominate the poster, with their full-length photographs occupying the most prominent positions. This is a clear signal that BJP is projecting the rally as a direct extension of the national leadership’s connect with Punjab.
State president Sunil Jakhar and working president Ashwani Sharma feature prominently alongside them, underlining their centrality to the party’s Punjab campaign. Former chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh, Ravneet Singh Bittu, Tarun Chugh, Narinder Singh Rana, and Saudan Singh are ranged along the top of the poster in mug-shot format, a studied contrast to the full-length images of Modi, Shah, Nabin, Jakhar, and Sharma.
The visual hierarchy is unmistakable, and party insiders say it broadly mirrors the billing these leaders are expected to receive at the rally itself. The poster reflects BJP’s effort to project a Sikh face in Punjab, featuring former CM Capt Amarinder Singh, Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu, and Narinder Singh Rana — a calculated display of the party’s outreach to the community ahead of the 2027 Assembly election.
The rally is scheduled to be held at Killi Chahlan, Moga, on March 14 at 10 am and is being billed as Amit Shah’s maiden direct outreach to the people of Punjab ahead of the 2027 Assembly election.
