Ferozepur, October 29
The Border Security Force (BSF) personnel today recovered four packets of heroin, weighing 2 kg (worth Rs 10 crore), near border outpost New Gazniwala near Mamdot, Ferozepur.
According to information, the BSF troops deputed at BOP New Gazniwala heard some sound during the wee hours but no moment was observed due to standing paddy. During search, four packets containing heroin were recovered from the spot.
It is pertinent to mention that on October 26, 5-Kg heroin worth Rs 25 crore was recovered from an area near border outpost Mabboke. Earlier, on October 23, the BSF troops belonging to 136 Battalion had recovered 1-Kg heroin near border outpost Old Mohammadi Wala.
Till now, 193.413 kg of heroin has been recovered by the BSF from the Punjab border.
