Chandigarh, December 26
A policy of the Punjab Housing and Urban Development Department to allow the promoters to clear their outstanding dues as on December 31, 2019, in six half-yearly installments along with applicable interest has yielded result, as Rs 435.85 crore has already been deposited.
The Greater Mohali Area Development Authority had upped the ante against the huge default by private real estate promoters on account of EDC and other dues by publishing their outstanding dues online and sending regular notices to them.
The developers who have deposited their dues include Curo India, Gillco Developers and Builders, JLPL, Manohar Infrastructure & Constructions, Omaxe Chandigarh Extension Developers and TDI Infratech.
