Feeling on cloud nine expecting a pat from Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, students of Pardhan Mantri School for Rising India Bhogiwal became upset at the last moment cancellation of their iconic leader on Tuesday.

However, they (students) got rejuvenated when senior functionaries and regional leaders led by Amargarh Legislator Jaswant Singh Gajjanmajra, Deputy Commissioner Dr Pallavi, SSP Gagan Ajit Singh and Director School Education (Secondary) announced that they would stay and watch the various stalls setup by them.

Recapitulating various elements of cultural heritage of Punjab at Punjabi Sabhycharak Park, Business Blaster Wing and models and charts illustrating scientific phenomena were among the most appreciated.

Appreciating the initiative taken by teachers led by Principal Amandeep Singh in persuading students to showcase their talent and skill during the exhibition organized especially for the visit of CM Punjab, legislator Jaswant Singh Gajjanmajra said performers were equally enthused to illustrate their presentations.

Gajjanmajra called upon teachers of the school to continue their endeavor in the promotion of education among students coming from rural families and the preservation of cultural heritage.

ADC (G) Sukhpreet Singh Sidhu, SP (H) Swaranjit Kaur and SDM Harbans Singh were also present on the occasion.

Perusal of a communiqué received at various offices from Deputy Commissioner Malerkotla revealed that Chief Minister Mann was scheduled to visit the Bhogiwal School at 1.10 pm and interact with students and staff of the institute.

However, the tour program was changed at the last moment when all preparations had been completed by respective departments.
