An 18-year-old youth died after his bike collided with a stray bull on late Monday.
Amandeep, a resident of Kandhwala Amarkot village of Abohar, was rushed to the Civil Hospital at Abohar, but doctors declared him dead.
Amandeep, a Class 12 student, was on his way towards the fields when his bike suddenly collided with a stray bull.
The deceased was the younger of two brothers and one sister.
On Tuesday, police registered a case under Section 194 of the BNS and handed over the body to the family members.
The relatives of the deceased have expressed anger over the increasing number of stray animals and have also demanded that the administration provide financial assistance to their family for this accident.
When informed about the incident, MLA Sandeep Jakhar said many people had died due to stray animals, and many others were injured.
Intriguingly, the number of stray animals was increasing rapidly, but sufficient steps had yet to be taken to check the menace.
