A 21-year-old youth and his girlfriend were found dead in a car parked inside the garage of his house at Azad Nagar on the Sultanwind road here this evening.
The incident came to light when the tenants on the upper floor smelt gas. When they checked, they found the bodies in the car with the air-conditioner on. The duo apparently choked to death.
According to the police, the youth had been missing since 9 am and he was not responding to his family’s calls. He lived in East Mohan Nagar, while the family has another property in Azad Nagar.
ADCP Jagjit Singh Walia said, “We have initiated action under the CrPC.” The victims’ names were withheld on the request of their families.
