Couple seriously injured as car, oil tanker collide head-on in Phagwara
The accident occurred near Parvez Nagar village on the Kapurthala-Sri Goindwal Sahib road
A couple sustained serious injuries after their car collided head-on with an oil tanker near Parvez Nagar village on the Kapurthala-Sri Goindwal Sahib road on Tuesday evening. Both vehicles were reportedly badly damaged in the accident.
The injured have been identified as 50-year-old Amrik Singh, son of Kehar Singh, and his 45-year-old wife Sarbjit Kaur, residents of Jahangirpur Patti Khirambali.
According to their family members, Amrik Singh was travelling towards Kapurthala with his wife in their car around 5 pm on Tuesday. When the couple reached near Parvez Nagar, their car collided with an oil tanker coming from the opposite direction. The crash left both Amrik Singh and Sarbjit Kaur seriously injured. Their family members rushed them to Civil Hospital, Kapurthala, where they are undergoing treatment.
