On the eve of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s scheduled rally in Moga on Saturday, radical Sikh organsation Dal Khalsa has launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led central government, accusing it of pursuing a policy of "badla" (revenge) rather than the promised "badlav" (change) in Punjab.

In a strongly worded statement, Dal Khalsa leader Paramjit Singh Tanda accused the Union Home Ministry of orchestrating "transnational repression" against Sikh activists operating on foreign soil. The group alleged that the Centre has allowed security forces to act beyond the legal ambit within Punjab, creating an atmosphere of impunity.

Kanwar Pal Singh demanded that the Union government come clean regarding high-profile international incidents. He specifically sought accountability for the alleged attempted hit on Gurpatwant Singh Pannu in the United States and the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada, linking these events to a broader pattern of extrajudicial targeting.

The organisation highlighted what it termed "state-sponsored repression," pointing to the continued detention of Sikh MP Amritpal Singh. The group criticised the government for invoking the National Security Act (NSA) against Amritpal and his aides for three consecutive years without formal charges or a trial. They further alleged that it was Amit Shah who pressured the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government to unleash a crackdown on the group three years ago.

The leaders also expressed grave concern over the rise in police encounters in the state, asserting that "law protectors cannot be allowed to act as law-breakers."
