'All allegations against Bikram Majithia are false': Dera Beas head's second jail visit to meet ex-Punjab minister
This is Gurinder Dhillon's second meeting with Majithia in four months, the previous visit having taken place at the end of September
Radha Soami Satsang Dera Beas chief Gurinder Singh Dhillon on Monday met Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia in Nabha jail, marking their second meeting in the facility.
The visit came a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Punjab tour and just days after SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal met Majithia last week.
Security was tightened in and around the jail ahead of Dhillon’s visit. The meeting lasted around 30 minutes.

Speaking to media afterwards, Dhillon defended his visit, saying, “Won’t you meet if your relative is in jail? All cases against him are false.”
“I discussed certain matters with him like friends do. I cannot divulge everything in public. But the cases against him are false,” he added. When asked if Majithia was being framed, Dhillon refused to comment, saying it “would not be in my dignity” to speculate.
The jail administration has reportedly denied access to several senior SAD leaders seeking to meet Majithia. The exact nature and purpose of Dhillon’s visit remain undisclosed. Majithia is currently lodged in Nabha jail in connection with a high-profile drugs-related case.
The unexpected visit by the spiritual leader has sparked speculation across political circles.
Majithia is currently lodged in Nabha jail in connection with a high-profile drugs-related case. The Vigilance Bureau (VB) arrested him on June 25 in a disproportionate assets case allegedly linked to the laundering of Rs 540 crore of drug money. A 40,000-page chargesheet in the case was filed in a Mohali court on August 22.
The FIR against Majithia stems from a 2021 investigation by a Punjab Police special team into drug-related activities. He was earlier booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and spent over five months in Patiala jail before being granted bail by the Punjab and Haryana High Court in August 2022.
Radha Soami Satsang, headquartered in Beas town near Amritsar, has followers across Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh.
