Maur Mandi drug dealer’s assets worth Rs 1 cr frozen

The Bathinda police have frozen illegal assets worth more than Rs 1 crore of a drug dealer. Bathinda SSP Deepak Pareek said a case dated December 8, 2018, under the NDPS Act was registered against Tarsem Chand, alias Dhapai, a resident of Maur Mandi in which commercial quantities of narcotics were seized and now seven bank accounts of the accused had been frozen.

Additionally, a case dated June 20, 2024, has also been registered against Tarsem Chand under the NDPS Act at Talwandi Sabo police station, in which significant amount of narcotics was seized.

The SSP has appealed to the public to report any known drug dealers or addicts in their vicinity. Information can be provided to the control room or the anti-drug helpline numbers 91155-02252 and 75080-09080 via WhatsApp or phone. The identity and address of the informers would be kept confidential, he added.
