Environment Impact Assessment Authority members in the Khera Kalmot area of Ropar district.

The State-Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SLEIAA) today visited mining sites located in the Khera Kalmot area of Ropar district. The committee led by its chairman Jatinder Sharma visited the NK-1 mining site and assessed the damage to the environment caused due to illegal mining.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
