Farmers will wipe out BJP, says SAD

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal today said ‘kisan shakti’ had the power to wipe out the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He maintained that the Centre was not sincere towards the farmers and asserted that the three-member committee formed by

the apex court could not play any constructive role in resolving the crisis related to three central farm laws.

After holding ward-level meetings in Nawanshahr, Banga and Phagwara, the SAD president said the party would utilise the forthcoming Parliamentary session to hold meetings with like-minded parties to work towards restoration of the federal structure in the country. He also asked the BJP government not to use the National Investigation Agency (NIA) against farmer leaders. — TNS
