Fazilka admn to identify sensitive spots

FAZILKA:Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the Fazilka administration has decided to work out vulnerability mapping of the district that shares border with Pakistan on the one side and Rajasthan and Haryana on other sides.

Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the Fazilka administration has decided to work out vulnerability mapping of the district that shares border with Pakistan on the one side and Rajasthan and Haryana on other sides. 

Manpreet Singh, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Electoral Officer has directed officials concerned to work out vulnerability mapping and identify sensitive and hyper-sensitive booths to maintain law and order and to ensure free, fair and transparent elections.

The DC said 7,11,435 persons — including 3,78,010 men, 3,33,407 women and 18 transgenders — shall cast their vote in the coming Lok Sabha elections in Fazilka district.

He said 782 polling stations shall be set up at 483 locations, out of which 601 polling stations fall in rural areas and 181 in urban areas. The District Magistrate has also imposed a ban on the flying of quadcopter (drone camera) in the border district.
