Members of the Punjab State District DC Office Employees Union held a gate rally outside the offices of the Deputy Commissioner, SDM and Tehsildar today in favour of their demands.

District chief of the union Sunil Kumar said no new post had been notified in these offices in the past three decades. On the other hand, the government has introduced several new schemes, overburdening the employees.

The employees said they had not been paid six monthly dearness allowances. The protesters warned that they would continue the agitation till their demands were met.
