Ferozepur: CIA nabs three gangsters, impounds SUV

Ferozepur, June 30

The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) has arrested three gangsters and seized a pistol (7.62 mm) along with five rounds (7.62 mm) and two country-made weapons (four rounds), besides an SUV from their possession.

The accused have been identified as Gurdeep Singh, alias Kali Shooter, a resident of Jama Rakhaiya Uthar village in Mamdot, Malkeet Singh, alias Sunny, a resident of Megha Rai Uthar village in Guruharsahai and Sahil Kamboj, a resident of Chakk Sukkad,in Jalalabad.

Ferozepur SSP Charanjit Singh said acting on a tip-off, the CIA staff had laid a naka near Golu Ka Mour, on Ferozepur-Fazilka Road.

“Kali Shooter, who is a member of ‘Shishu Gang’, has seven cases registered against him in Mamdot, Jalalabad, Mohali and Guruharsahai while Sahil has been booked in three cases related to theft and robbery. One case was registered against Malkeet under the NDPS Act at Mamdot police station,” said the SSP.

The accused have been booked under Section 25 of the Arms Act at Guruharsahai police station.
