Bathinda, July 14

A consumer court has imposed a penalty of Rs 11,000 on a food delivery firm. Mohit Gupta of Thermal Colony complained that he had placed an online order for Rs 248, but food was not delivered.

Gupta said half of the amount he paid was deducted after the order was cancelled.

The firm stated that the delivery boy couldn’t find the address and when he called up the customer, the latter did not pick up his call.

However, the firm couldn’t produce any documents to substantiate its claim.
