Patiala, January 17

Former Patiala mayor Vishnu Sharma on Monday rejoined the Congress.

PPCC chief Navjot Singh Sidhu welcomed him into the party fold.

Sharma had quit the Congress following differences with Capt Amarinder Singh and his wife Preneet Kaur.

A former mayor during the Congress government in the state in 2003, Sharma is eyeing the Congress ticket from Patiala urban where the Congress is yet to field a candidate to take on the former CM, who quit the Congress to form his Punjab Lok Congress.
