Gill’s extensive academic background

Jasdeep Singh Gill has an extensive academic background. He is PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Cambridge. He obtained a Master’s degree in chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology under an exchange programme. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biochemical engineering and biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.

Until May 31, when he resigned, Jasdeep Singh served as the chief strategy officer and senior management personnel at Cipla Limited. He resigned from there citing reason that he wished to pursue personal interest outside the company. Singh joined Cipla in 2019 as the chief strategy officer and chief of staff. He is also associated with Ethris and Achira Labs Private Limited as a board observer. Until March, he was a board member of Wealthy Therapeutics. Earlier, he served at Ranbaxy as executive assistant to the CEO and at Cambridge University Entrepreneurs as the president and chairman.
