A case of sedition has been registered against UK-based rapper Taran Kaur Dhillon widely known as Hard Kaur making her the latest victim of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s wrath for her so-called objectionable posts on him and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.

On the basis of a complaint by Varanasi-based lawyer Shashank Shekhar, who is also an RSS volunteer, a case has been registered against her under Sections 124A (sedition), 153 A (promoting enmity between different groups of religion), 500 (defamation) and 505 (statement conducing to public mischief) of the IPC and Section 66 of the IT Act.

According to Shekhar, he was deeply hurt to see such derogatory remarks against Bhagwat and Yogi on the social media account.

Kaur’s Facebook and Instagram pages had seemingly objectionable comments against Bhagwat as she blamed the RSS for Hemant Karkarey’s murder and held Yogi responsible for the spate of rapes.

Police sources say the case is being handed over to the Crime Branch’s Surveillance Cell.

Hard Kaur is a Punjab rapper based in the UK whose first solo album was 'Supawoman' and second was titled 'Party Loud All Year: P.L.A.Y. '

She had also got into trouble in May 2013 when she had allegedly hurt Sikh sentiments while performing alongside  Honey Singh.
