Highest-ever 3,265 lakh units supply by PSPCL in day

Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd (PSPCL) supplied the highest-ever power (3,265 lakh units) on Wednesday, which surpassed the previous year record of 3,066 lakh units, supplied on July 1, 2021, an increase of 6.49 per cent.

This year, the PSPCL met the highest-ever peak demand of 14,207 MW at 12.15 pm on Wednesday by surpassing the previous year record of 13,431 MW on July 1, 2021. Due to the high temperature this summer, the demand for power was persistently high, but despite this, the PSPCL wasproviding daily eight-hour power supply to agriculture consumers and 24-hour supply to all other categories of consumers in the state, said Power Minister Harbhajan Singh.
