Jagjit Singh Dallewal: Hold protest against BJP, allies only

BKU (Sidhupur) state president Jagjit Singh Dallewal today clarified the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) had given a call to lodge protest only against the BJP and its alliance partners. Other parties had to be questioned politely, he added.

“The SAD was an ally of the BJP at the Centre. Its leaders even signed the agriculture ordinances. Later, the Badal family even gave statements in favour of the farm laws. However, when Badals realised that the farmers’ anger was simmering, they protested the laws. People are still angry with them and that’s why they are facing protests,” said Dallewal, addressing a farmers’ conference at the grain market in Malout. — TNS
