To increase enrolment in government schools, District Education Officer Kamaldeep Kaur has drawn up a comprehensive plan to increase enrolment. The strategy includes door-to-door awareness programmes, strengthening community engagement and participation.

Under the series, he held a meeting with block primary education officers, centre head teachers, teachers and other officials of the department at DIET, Ajowal. During the meeting, District Education Officer Kamaldeep Kaur emphasised on the importance of quality education, infrastructure development and community outreach. The District Education Officer discussed the latest teaching methods to attract students and parents. The initiative is expected to strengthen the education sector in the district, strengthen the reputation of government schools among students. The initiative aims to provide quality education and make schools more attractive to students and parents. He said an increase of 6.5 per cent in Mahilpur Block-2, 5.3 per cent in Dasuha-1, 4.5 per cent in Garhshankar-1 and 3.5 per cent in Hoshiarpur 1-B, Hoshiarpur 2-A has been recorded. He said there has been an increase of 2.2 per cent in the total admissions in the district.

Deputy District Education Officer Sukhwinder Singh appreciated the efforts of the teachers who contributed significantly in increasing enrolment in their respective schools. The District Education Officer and Deputy District Education Officer honoured the teachers and encouraged them to keep doing good work.
