PHAGWARA: The Income Tax Department took possession of 23 kanals and 18 marlas worth Rs 72 lakh at Bhularai village near Phagwara here today.

The Income Tax Department took possession of 23 kanals and 18 marlas worth Rs 72 lakh at Bhularai village near Phagwara here today.

Additional Commissioner, Income Tax, Rajesh Bali said the land belonged to Sukhwinder Kaur, a resident of Chaheru village, Phagwara, who purchased it during financial Year 2010-11. Bali said during the scrutiny of the case, the woman could not disclose the source of income for the immovable property.
