Jathedar responds to Ravneet Bittu

Amritsar, February 13

Reacting to Ludhiana MP Ravneet Singh Bittu’s statement of appearing before Akal Takht next week, the officiating Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh said he would be happy to receive him but in the presence of kin of those who were killed during the tenure of Beant Singh as Chief Minister.

Bittu, the grandson of Beant Singh, yesterday said he wanted to ask the Jathedar about what action he intended to take against him.

Earlier, Bittu had objected to the Jathedar’s remarks hailing Paramjit Singh Bheora, convicted in the Beant assassination case. — TNS
