Muktsar, June 26

Pakki Tibbi village in the Lambi Assembly segment has achieved the target of getting all its adult population vaccinated against Covid-19.

Dr Iqbal Singh, Nodal Officer (Vaccination), Community Health Centre, Alamwala, said: “In the age group of 18-44, as many as 890 people have been vaccinated. Similarly, 748 persons above 45 years of age have been vaccinated. As per our lists, all village residents above the age of 18 have been vaccinated.”

Meanwhile, sources in the district administration said after verification, the village panchayat would be honoured. Notably, Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh has announced Rs 10 lakh special grant to each fully vaccinated village.

Earlier, the panchayat of Dhulkot village in Gidderbaha Assembly segment here was honoured by the district administration for 98 per cent vaccination. Meanwhile, MLA Malout-cum-Deputy Speaker Ajaib Singh Bhatti today announced that if any village or municipal ward in the Malout Assembly segment would achieve the target of 100 per cent vaccination in next seven days, he would give a grant of Rs 5 lakh to the panchayat from his discretionary funds. — TNS
