Muktsar, July 18
A worker at a biomass plant at Channu village in Lambi died on Tuesday night after some co-workers allegedly inserted an air pressure pipe into his rectum on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as 52-year-old Joginder Singh, a native of Bidowali village here.
Acting on the statement of his wife, the police have booked Manjit Ram and three unidentified persons.
Sources said the deceased had four daughters. The family had taken him to a private hospital in Bathinda, where he died.
This biomass plant is owned by a relative of SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal.
Boota Singh, SHO, Lambi police station, said a case under Section 304 of the IPC was registered.
