A 16-year-old Pakistani national, who was lodged in the juvenile jail in Jammu, was on Monday repatriated through the Attari-Wagah check post. The boy, identified as Ashfaq Ali, was jailed for 14 months for crossing the border without legal documentation.

Ali said he had crossed the border on May 15 last year, but was caught by the BSF in the Nowshera area. He was handed over to Pakistan Rangers’ Deputy Superintendent Mohammad Faizel by BSF’s Assistant Commandant Nirmaljit Singh. — TNS
