Patar bats for saving Punjabi language

CHANDIGARH: On the occasion of World Mother Tongue Day, Punjab Kala Parishad chairman Surjit Patar today gave a call to youngsters to come forward to save the Punjabi language.

On the occasion of World Mother Tongue Day, Punjab Kala Parishad chairman Surjit Patar today gave a call to youngsters to come forward to save the Punjabi language.

Patar, a renowned Punjabi poet, was speaking at the Punjab Kala Bhawan here. He said the biggest need of the hour was to connect the youth to the language.

He released a song, ‘Maa Boli’, written by poet Harvinder Singh and sung by Yakoob Gill. The parishad organised cultural and literary competitions for college students.
