Pharmacy owner held by Hanumangarh police

Abohar, April 13

A Delhi-based medicine manufacturing unit’s owner was arrested by Hanumangarh police for allegedly supplying a consignment of 3 lakh intoxicating pills. He had earlier been held by Sirsa police reportedly for the similar offence.

SP Preeti Jain said Gurvinder Singh Sethi (22), proprietor of G-Pharma, was brought from the Sirsa jail on production warrant and had been arrested under the NDPS Act.

Earlier on February 4, the Hanumangarh police had arrested Sandeep Singh and Narinder Singh, who were illegally carrying 3 lakh intoxicating tablets, along with other goods, in a vehicle.

Investigation reportedly revealed that Pawan Sindhi, a resident of Hanumangarh, was running a drug business from the Bikaner jail. Pawan was brought from the Bikaner jail for questioning by the police after getting a production warrant from the court. It came to fore that bulk supplies were arranged allegedly through Gurvinder Singh, and he would be questioned. — OC
