The police today arrested the driver of a pickup from which 360 kg of poppy husk was recovered in Hanumangarh.

SP Arshad Ali said Sub-Inspector Sushil Kumar arrested the suspect, Jagdish Bishnoi of Phalodi district, after poppy husk was recovered from his pickup, which was without a number plate. A case has been registered.

In another case, a team led by Sub-Inspector Mohar Singh arrested Aamir Khan (25), a resident of Khunja Hanumangarh, with 40 gm of heroin. A case under the NDPS Act was registered against him.

The SP said in the past one month, 26 cases had been registered under the NDPS Act in the district and 34 suspects were arrested.
