Mansa, July 18

The local police have conducted raids to arrest two sharpshooters of the Punjab module — Manpreet Singh Manu Kusa and Jagroop Singh Roopa — allegedly involved in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case.

Earlier, the police suspected that the duo had fled to another state like the Haryana module sharpshooters, but the interrogation of one of the shooters Ankit Sersa by the Mansa Police has revealed that both are in Punjab only.

The Punjab Police have got a CCTV footage of June 21. In the video, both are seen on a motorcycle in Samalsar area of Mansa district. Subsequently, raids were conducted at their possible hideouts.

The police have got a lead that both of them headed towards Tarn Taran area.

The new footage has confirmed that both shooters were in Punjab till June 21, as many as 24 days after the murder of Moosewala, but the police failed to arrest them.

As per the police, Manpreet Manu is a close aide of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. He was the first one to fire at Moosewala with an AK-47 rifle.
