A fortnight after cracking the case in which Patiala MP Preneet Kaur was duped off Rs 23 lakh, police have now unearthed a bank and gang nexus in the state.

About 200 innocent people were duped through online banking transactions by a gang based in Jharkhand. The manager of Fino Payment Bank has been arrested in the case.

Fino Payments Bank started operations in July 2017 with 400 Branches in 14 states. It has been in the news as RBI had barred the bank from adding new customers for almost 5 months in 2018 because of non compliance of operational guidelines.
