Poor quality food served at anganwadis: BJP's Anil Sareen

Ludhiana: State BJP general secretary Anil Sareen yesterday alleged that the Punjab Anganwadi Mother-Child Nutrition Scheme is full of corruption. Addressing a press conference at BJP office in Ludhiana, Sareen said under this scheme, funded by the Central Government, crores of rupees were given for buying nutritious food for the anganwadi centres of the state for children up to six years of age and lactating mothers. The BJP demands that the AAP government should not try to play with people’s lives and cancel the contracts given to private firms immediately.
