The Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday demanded a probe into the alleged involvement of Akalis and Congress leaders in the Maur bomb blast case and the conspiracy to defame AAP by accusing it of having links with Khalistani groups.

Four days before the 2017 Assembly elections, a bomb blast took place in the election rally of Congress candidate from Maur Harminder Singh Jassi, who is a relative of Sirsa dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. Seven persons, including two children, died in the incident.

Addressing the media, MLA Aman Arora alleged that the involvement of SAD, BJP, Congress and central agencies should be probed as all worked collectively against AAP to grab power in the state. He said now the same leaders were alleging that dera followers were involved.

Demanding a time-bound inquiry under the SC, Arora said Sukhbir and Capt Amarinder had accused AAP without having any proof.
