The judges were asked to forward suggestions for “effective maintenance of security in the court complexes and residences.” In a communiqué, High Court Registrar-General Sanjiv Berry asked all district and sessions judges to specify whether frisking of entrants to the court complex was carried out ‘regularly and at all times’, whether the CCTV cameras in the complexes were operational and if there were any shortcomings in the security arrangements. Justice Augustine George Masih, a judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court and inspecting Judge of the Ludhiana sessions division, also visited the Ludhiana courts complex.
