Punjab: Businessman, 29, ends life two days before wedding in Kapurthala

In a tragic incident reported from Punjab’s Kapurthala, a 29-year-old businessman allegedly died by suicide at his residence just two days before his wedding.
The deceased has been identified as Karan Kumar, a resident of Shiv Colony.
According to information provided by family members, Karan was engaged in a hosiery and general merchandise business at Jolly Market in the city. On Friday afternoon, he reportedly went to the third floor of his house, where he allegedly hanged himself.
Upon discovering the incident, family members immediately rushed him to the Civil Hospital, where the attending doctor declared him dead on arrival. Officials from the City Police Station reached the scene after receiving information and have initiated an investigation into the matter.
A relative of the deceased stated that Karan’s wedding was scheduled to take place in two days, and preparations were underway at the house. The sudden death has left the family in deep shock. For the time being, the family has declined to pursue any legal action. Police said further investigation is ongoing to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death.
