Punjab govt not helping jailed youth: SAD

Amritsar, February 6

Former Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal flayed the state government for not taking up with the central government the issue of Punjabi youth being allegedly locked up in Delhi jails without filing of FIRs.

She and SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal were at the Golden Temple to attend a religious ceremony today. Taking a jibe at the CM, she said he must camp at the national capital with his ministers instead of sitting at his farmhouse.

Sukhbir claimed the SAD and Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee were jointly tracking those protesters from Punjab who had gone missing in Delhi. In this regard, they were also holding discussions with the Delhi Police. He accused the state government for using state machinery to intimidate the MC poll candidates of Opposition parties. — TNS
