ABOHAR: Punjab-born Shree Saini will represent the US at the 27th Miss India Worldwide Pageant to be held on December 14 at Fords in New Jersey.

Punjab-born Shree Saini will represent the US at the 27th Miss India Worldwide Pageant to be held on December 14 at Fords in New Jersey.

Her maternal grandparents Vijay Luxmi, a retired government schoolteacher, and Tilak Raj Sachdeva, a small farmer and businessman, are from Abohar.

Her mother Ekta Saini said, “We are in New York City for 10 days as Shree is doing practising for the Miss India Worldwide pageant. Shree will compete with 42 national title holders.”

An undergraduate at the University of Washington and pursuing a double degree in public administration and business, Shree was crowned Miss India USA last year.
