SAD looking for new ally in Haryana

Rallies by the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) in Haryana are being seen as pressure tactics for alliance with the BJP or any other political party as it is believed that the party is not in a position to win any seat on its own. SAD president Sukhbir Badal addressed a rally in Ambala on February 9 and will address another in Sirsa on February 17.  The party had contested the 2009 and 2014 Haryana Assembly elections in coalition with the INLD and the SAD  won the Kalanwali (Sirsa) seat. But the INLD severed the ties last year in the wake of the SYL issue. Now, the SAD is looking for a new partner, which could be the BJP or the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP). — TNS
