Agriculture Minister Randeep Singh Nabha on Tuesday demanded five lakh metric tonnes (LMT) of urea till December 15 from Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers Mansukh Mandaviya. During a virtual meeting with the Union Minister, Nabha said the state needed an adequate quantity of urea during the first 25 days of sowing of wheat.

A total of 6.72 LMT of urea was available, he said, adding state farmers critically needed 5 LMT Urea to date.
