The Punjab and Haryana High Court was today told that no less than five reports had been prepared on the basis of meetings held between different agencies. Assistant Solicitor-General of India Chetan Mittal added that another five reports had been prepared containing information on border-related issues.

Appearing before the Special Division Bench of Chief Justice Krishna Murari and Justice Rajiv Sharma, Moga’s former Senior Superintendent of Police SSP Raj Jeet Singh Hundal also asked the Bench to open a report submitted in a sealed cover in the drugs matter.

The report was submitted after Punjab DGP Siddharth Chattopadhyay, along with two other senior officers appointed by the Court, was directed by the High Court to look into complicity between dismissed inspector Inderjit Singh and Moga SSP Raj Jit Singh “to break the nexus between the law enforcement agency and drug traffickers”.

Raj Jeet’s counsel had moved an application before the High Court in May also for opening of the report He had earlier told the Court that he was not even remotely connected with the “subject matter of the FIR”, was shocked when he was summoned by STF chief during the investigation of the case.

Claiming that STF chief Harpreet Singh Sidhu was “highly inimical” towards him, he had added he was summoned merely because he supervised the work of an accused Inspector, Inderjit Singh for 14 months. During the period, he severely reprimanded accused Inderjit Singh on several occasions. The Bench had, on his plea, constitution of the special investigation team of three IPS officers headed by Chattopadhyay.
