Conveners of the event Jaswant Singh Golu and Dr Saraaj Khan said activists of various social, constitutional, sports and religious organisations had announced to join protesters.

Addressing gatherings during concluding sessions of Candle Marches at Kanganwal, Baurhai, Latala and Lohgarh village leaders of various organisations acknowledged that outcome of the ensuing farmers’ struggle was bound to affect fate of members of all sections of society, besides small and marginal farmers. “Though apparently it looks that the farm laws are concerned with the progress of agriculture, almost all sections of society, including farm labourers, commission agents, artisans, mechanics and small traders would be equally affected directly or indirectly,” said Jaswant Singh Golu and Dr Saraaj Khan.

Saudagar Singh Ghudani, an office-bearer of Bhartiya Kissan Sabha Ekta (Ugrahan), said similar candle marches were organised at other villages too.

All India Kissan Sabha office-bearers Jugraj Singh and Baldev Singh Latala said jathas of protestors would leave the region from specified places at Raikot, Barundi, Sadhar, Jodhan and Mullanpur from tomorrow onwards.
