‘Sacrilege’ incidents at Bathinda village

Tension prevailed at Phulewala village of the Rampura sub-division here after two incidents of “sacrilege” were reported within a span of three days.

The latest incident came to light on Tuesday morning when some village residents noticed torn pages of the “baani” of Guru Ravidas lying on the outskirts of the village, and informed the police.

The first incident was reported on Sunday, when torn pages of the “baani’ were found near the village bus stop. A case against unidentified persons was registered the same day at the Rampura Phul police station.
